Suction. (Deformities)
by Kelly Monson.

This is damn freaking awesome! Wish i am still in art class in CWDSS. T_T Art and designing was fun then, now its just a bore because of the technicalities of the subject. And my $300 color pencils are rotting in my cupboard. If this goes on i will be speaking in limericks -.-  Being so technical is just so rigid. I think being exposed to fashion design in sec sch gives me the wrong perception about design. Its not all research and draw base on everyday objects. Its theoretical. Its challenging. Its like taking a different form of maths. T S K I don't really mind the histories and stuffs if end of the day i do not have to link those rubbish to my design. Its cool that they stress for a basic for the spaces we design. But if i am interested by one idea, or philosopher, doesn't mean i will have to induce that into the design. People are like this, they like to do things, or design in this case according to their liking, you won't design something you don't like. So if i happen to dislike a lot of the ideas raised in design history, does this mean that my design have no basic? Today's topic in TOD is the right idea, i love that man. Michel Foucault. He is totally leading on the right ideas. Totally agree and totally accept his views. I like that in art class we research on artists and my favorite is Salvador Dali and MC Escher. In the end, their names cropped up in TOD too, so i am inclined to like TOD because of that. I like Rene Magritte and Patrick Woodroffe too, even though Patrick Woodroffe is more of a sculptor. I always think that being able to crave something out of a block of marble or wood is a great feat because u have to take care of the proportions and all. If its me, the wood would probably be turned into sawdust and the marble,....well lets just say it will be a waste.
