Sawadika ~~ I am back in SG! :DAnd know what, its good to be back.
The crazy streets in Thailand proves too much, i walked a lot, squeeze a lot, of course eat a lot n sweat a lot.
The traffic there is really horrible, one lane can consist of two cars and the pedestrians just cross the road at where and when they like, i nearly got bumped by a motorcycle because the motorcyclist decided he needed to get something in the shopping street so he just drove in -.-
I can't stand the heat there too, its making my sensitive skin irritated and rashes appeared again :/ so itch yet i can't scratch.
The best thing is the price of everything, i bought a shoe that cost only eight dollar plus when Sg sells it for twenty plus. I bought lots of shirts and a short and a lot of accessories, but i didn't buy a cap and a bag as i wanted to because; first the bag, there was a design that i quite fancy, but ----- surprise surprise, judging from the place it was sold at, i figured it wouldn't hurt to go over and have a look, but i was wrong. Majorly wrong. The moment i moved the bag in front to inspect the bag behind (the front one was pink, i don't think you would ever catch me with a neon pink bag).... *deng deng deng ---- drum rolls* A freaking huge swarm of mosquitoes flew out. 0.0 it was horrible, i will never forget that scene for as long as i lived. Seriously, and the worse thing is the shop assistant, after seeing the mosquitoes, walked over, swat at them and turned around to smile at me and ask me if i want to buy the bag. &%^$#%%& I guess they are used to things like that, but i am not -.- so i learned my lesson and when i saw the cap i wanted at another shop with the same kind of "feel" i gave up and decided not to buy any caps or bags there even though they are cheaper. Clothes are ok because we wash them and there are no mosquitoes flying out of them.
So anyways, the food was awesome (Y) The hotel i am staying at is called the Arnoma Hotel, and previously when i went to thailand we always stayed in Amari watergate Hotel so this is an entirely new experience in a new hotel. Good thing was that this hotel is right opposite a major shopping district :D
And prior to what corn told me about some night markets opening on weekends only, well the hotel told us, in our district, the night markets are open every night just that every thursday and friday they have a mini flea market right next to the hotel. One warning, be careful of your wallets and never wear skirt because when there is a lot of people it inevitable that there will be some skin rubbing. And also, never try this satay liked thingy that resembles a thick wad of meat because its not just meat inside, its with some glutinous rice which is ok, but the whole thing taste sour, at first i thought it was spoiled but the person says its suppose to taste like this. o.O
My journey in Thailand when something like that:
First day i reached its already quite late so we went out to eat at some local street side eatery, my dad really knows Bangkok well O.o but its a bit irritating of him to kept chatting with the locals whenever we shopped -.-
Second day we shopped in our own district area and we even took the Bangkok version of MRT called the BTS which literally stands for "Bangkok Train Station" the train master told me, and we went to this place called Nana which i-don't-know-why sells a lot of porn videos -.-
Third day we went to MBK i don't know how to spell the place and did quite a lot of shopping there, the taxi drivers are friendly there, except when they bring you to tour places and you don't buy anything, they literally just don't even want to talk to you, which is weird because i think they get some commission if you buy something, well too bad. And we went to this Bangkok version of Chinatown where every store there have chinese subs. We had shark fins and bird nest there. I don't really like shark fins and i did pledge to never eat shark fins ( though even if i never pledge i still will not eat shark fin) so i just drink the soup and of course i will eat the bird nest which is damn nice because its not too sweet :) And at night we when to the shopping mall nearby to eat and the western food there is really cheap! A plate of steak which cost about $13 can cost $6 there and its just as good. And there is a kinokuniya there and the books are sold at around the same price at sg but maybe a bit cheaper, i was tempted to buy but my mum says there might not be space to bring back because we already bought a lot of things :/
And then fourth day we went on the BTS again to go to this new shopping district called "Asiatique" We took about 1 stop and then change line to another BTS line and take another 5 more stops and then to the Sathorn Pier to take a boat to the place, its like a shopping village entire on its own ^^v
And well the rest of the trip is spent near the hotel area until when we have to leave. And i am damn tired now but i still feels like watching some videos that i missed so ya here i am and you are with me on what i did and visit in my trip to Bangkok. Bye Bye
